The child that touched me
I think back to when I was teaching in the infant/ toddler program in the "tiny tots room" when I became the teacher to a child that had autism and was speech delayed, it made me cry when I met him. I had to learn sign language to help him communicate his needs to the teachers and his peers and that when I fell in love with wanting to learn sign language.
The children's book
"A Color of His Own" By Leo Lionni
I loved the fact this chameleon long to have his own color because he couldn't stand looking like his friends. I always wanted to be different when growing up so I was this chameleon.
