I have chosen to attachment as my topic of choice with the subtopics; secure attachment, the role of attachment as an adult. I chose that topic so I can have a clear understanding of why I attach to some and not to others when I was a child. I think that attachment play a big part in peoples lives when choosing to date or get into a relationship with people.
So I need your help in coming up with some subtopics?

ReplyDeleteOne subtopic might be a unhealthy attachment. How can a child get a unhealthy attachment to their parent or parents. We have a child at school that comes into school every morning crying when mom or dad drops off (worse when mom drops off). Side note: he has been at the center for over 9 months. Over christmas break mom and dad had a vacation for 1 week then he came back and was 10 times worst. Now he refuses to participate in group activities such as outside play or musical chairs, he does not want to do any art projects or even eat. His reasoning is because he misses mom and dad. Another side note: These parents are all about their children (3 children - he is the middle child). They also do not leave their children with anyone to go out and they are normally always on time for pick up. I feel that he has an unhealthy attachment to mom and dad and I am unsure as to why this happens. Thank you for picking a great subject!

ReplyDeleteAttatchment: insecure and secure have caught the attention of many theorists,theraphists, psychologist. I have done many trainings on the importance of attatchment from birth. If you need resource leads do not hesitate to ask. Good Luck!
